Campbell Technology Advisors are offering a hands-on Accounting Technology Internship designed for students seeking their CPA licensure and interested in the intersection of accounting, financial systems, and business technology. This role provides real-world experience supporting advisory engagements, financial data analysis, and accounting system implementations.

As an intern, you will work directly with the Managing Partner while gaining exposure to modern tools used in today’s accounting technology and ERP consulting environment. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in building skills in financial systems, automation, and data analytics.

How You’ll Contribute

Client Advisory Support

• Assist with advisory projects focused on improving accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Support accounting teams in applying best practices for bookkeeping, internal controls, and reporting.
• Help document workflows and operational processes during client discovery and system design.

Data Analysis & Financial Modeling

• Work extensively in Microsoft Excel organizing financial data and preparing datasets.
• Assist in developing financial models and analysis used in advisory engagements.
• Prepare structured data for reporting and dashboard development.

Accounting System Implementation

• Support implementation and configuration of Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online.
• Assist with data migration, system setup, and validation of financial system configurations.
• Participate in documenting system design and implementation best practices.

Automation & Data Engineering

• Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for client and internal projects.
• Help analyze manual accounting processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Support development of workflow automation and process optimization initiatives.

Innovation & Internal Projects

• Contribute to internal projects involving AI-enabled SaaS solutions, automation tools, and marketing automation.
• Support research and experimentation with emerging accounting technologies.
• Help document and improve internal Campbell processes from discovery through deployment.

Project Coordination

• Assist with project management tasks across advisory and technology implementations.
• Track project milestones, tasks, and documentation.
• Support coordination between internal teams and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Business.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in accounting systems, financial technology, or business analytics.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve technical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.
• Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools.
• Basic understanding of automation tools, APIs, or data workflows.
• Interest in AI tools, SaaS development, or financial systems consulting.
